I just got Minka-Aire F518-WH 44-inch Concept II Flush Mount Ceiling Fan, White with White Blades.Excellent FanBy R. BeachThe fan came packaged very well which from the start gave me a good impression of the quality of this product. The instructions are clear and concise and the quality of materials is good. The fan motor itself is pretty heavy and Minka Aire was nice enough to include a hook on the mounting plate for the sole purpose of hanging the motor during installation..very nice. The blades simply snap in and can be removed if necessary by releasing a hidden catch. The remote control is simple to use and each button makes sense as to what function is being activated . The light output is equivalent to a standard 100 watt bulb but the halogen bulb itself is tiny. (Make sure not to touch the bulb with bare hands because finger oils can cause premature bulb failure.) The light when turned on fades in nicely and on-off brightness can be varied. The fan is very quiet and moves a good amount of air. There does seem to be a bit of noticable fan hub runout on high speed but no fan wobble or vibration.
